Star Trek Online Guide

This is an introductory Star Trek online guide and should answer most of your basic questions about the game.

What is Star Trek online?

This is a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game), located in Star Trek. The game releases on the second February 2009 at the United States and 5 February 2009 at Europe. At startup, you have the ability to be part of one of two currently available fractions, Klingon, or be part of the Federation. Although you can be sure that more factions will come later as the game expands. If you're clueless about Star Trek universe, here's what you must know, most activity is happening in space 25th century. You are in charge of your ship and you command your ship and crew, and you progress through the game.

Player Progression

player progress in the OPD is unlike other MMOs where grinding and leveling has paid great importance. In Star Trek Online, you do not have to hit 50 levels from scratch. At startup, you have a total of 6 rows in progress.

Ensign -> Lieutenant -> lieutenant commander -> Commander -> Captain -> Admiral

Skill-based progression

can start as a flag in the tutorial. You should complete your Ensign levels in a couple of hours. Star Trek is a skill based game, which means you will spend your time increasing your level of skill. This is done by completing the mission and the end of the episode. You get skill points for completing missions and episodes. You can use skill points to improve the skills that are available to you. For every action, you have a set of skills that are available. skills available to you at the lower ranks of the broad and as you rise through the ranks, becoming specific skills, based on the skills you chose in the beginning.

For example, if you were the engineering officer, you can focus on the maintenance or modification. It can also be generalized to both, just to be more time, we assume that you have chosen change and modification of Colonel Max your skills and once you get promoted to Lieutenant Commander, you can further build on the exchange of skills, or you could start from scratch and build a maintenance skills. Modification of your skills and bonuses will remain for the rest of his career.

Thus, although the game does not follow the conventional form leveling. Maxing all your skills will be a considerable time.We will make Star Trek online guide to the skills a little later. Stay tuned for that.

Star Trek ship

As you rise through its ranks, and get your self a ship that suits your rank. You must also ships that have certain roles. You have 3 types of ships to choose from, science, cruisers and escorts.

Simply put, science ships have the ability to detect masking of vessels and act as support ships in the battle. Cruisers are great guys with a larger crew, a larger boat, more power and higher inventory capacity. In non-combat situations, they become absolutely necessary for long journeys. Escorts are small boys with big guns. Small boats and loads firepower.If want to come in all guns blazing, then this is the boat for you.

There is enormous scope for adjustment when it comes to ships, both from a cosmetic standpoint, as well as technical point of view of gameplay.
